Worked example
At $24/h, 40 regular hours, 6 overtime hours paid 1.5×, gross pay is $1,176. A hypothetical 20% deduction gives an estimated $940.80 take-home amount.
Frequently asked questions
Is the withholding percentage calculated from my country?
No. You provide the percentage. Actual taxes, payroll contributions and benefits are jurisdiction- and worker-specific.
Why is estimated take-home different from my payslip?
Real payroll uses brackets, allowances, social contributions, rounding and employer-specific rules, none of which are modelled here.
